1. What we collect
When you sign up, we collect your email address. When you use the API, we log the following per request: image source (URL or upload filename), AI description preview (first 120 characters), voice selected, output language, and a timestamp. The original image file itself is not stored permanently.
We do not collect payment information directly - when billing is introduced, payments will be handled by a third-party processor and we will not store card details.
2. How we use it
Your email is used only to send your API key, sign-in codes, and usage alerts (at 80% and 100% of your image credit quota). We do not send marketing email unless you explicitly opt in. Request logs are used to display your usage history in the dashboard and to enforce image credit limits.
3. Audio files
Audio files generated by the API are stored on our servers and are accessible via a direct URL for 24 hours. After 24 hours they are automatically and permanently deleted. We do not share audio URLs with third parties.
4. Third-party services
We use the following third-party services to operate img2voice:
- xAI - your image is sent to xAI's Grok API for vision analysis and speech generation. xAI's own privacy policy applies to data processed by their models.
- Brevo - used to deliver transactional emails (sign-in codes, welcome emails, usage alerts).
5. Data retention
Request logs are retained for 24 hours in the history dashboard. Audio files are stored for 24 hours then permanently deleted. Your account data (email, API key, usage totals) is retained for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by emailing hello@img2voice.com.
6. Cookies
We do not use tracking cookies or advertising cookies. The site may use a session cookie solely to maintain your authenticated dashboard state.
7. Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you. To exercise any of these rights, email hello@img2voice.com.
8. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes we will notify you by email. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
